How do I dispose of junk appliances?
Refrigerated appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, window air conditioning units and central air conditioning units as well as washers, dryers, water heaters and other scrap metals may be delivered to the Street and Sanitation Department located at 301 First Ave. for recycling.

I think I have a water leak. Who do I call?
During normal business hours, you can call (806) 655-5011 and the City will be happy to send someone out to help you determine if you have a leak or not (free of charge). After hours you can call the Randall County Sheriff’s Office at (806) 468-5751 and they will dispatch a City employee to assist you.

I am installing a sprinkler system. What do I need to do?
First, you need to contact the City of Canyon Code Enforcement Department at (806) 655-5014 to obtain any necessary permits. Then, depending on the size of your current water meter, you may or may not need to increase the size of your meter. To do this, come to City Hall, 301 16th St., and the Public Works Department will assist you. If you currently have a 5/8” meter and only need to upgrade to a 3/4” meter, the cost is $125. If you need to upgrade to a 1” meter, the cost increases significantly due to the fact we must dig up and replace the entire line. The cost for this is $750.
